Police locate car of Garfield woman found shot to death

Police said they have found the vehicle owned by one of the two Garfield sisters found shot to death Friday.

The car was found at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, city police said in a statement. They did not release additional information. An Allegheny County dispatch supervisor said the car was found in East Liberty but did not have additional information.

The bodies of Dr. Sarah Wolfe, 38, a psychiatrist at Western Psychiatric Clinic and Susan Wolfe, 44, were found Friday afternoon after police went to their recently purchased Garfield home to check on the well-being of the women.

Police said officials at the Hillel Academy in Squirrel Hill called police after Susan Wolfe did not show up for her job as a teacher’s aide.

The car, a lime green 2011 Ford Fiesta with the Pennsylvania license plate HSD7462 that belonged to one of the women, was last seen by neighbors parked outside the home Thursday night.
