This week, we have an eclectic menu for the Fourth of July weekend! Here’s what’s dishing on the blogs we follow:
To start the celebrations off, Bill from Three Dogs BBQ prepared a homemade Potato Salad to go with a good barbecue meal this Independence Day. Jessica from How Sweet It Is put together a vividly colorful Caramelized Peach Caprese with Smoked Sea Salt, and Chef Chuck offered us a heart-healthy Tuna Tartare at Cooks and Eats.
On the main course list, I made vibrant and vegetarian Spaghetti with Parsley Pesto at Simply Romanesco, while Linda from Dinner Plan-it cooked a satisfying and Easy Asian Spicy Shrimp and Chicken. And for a sweet finish to this delightful meal, you must try Brown Eyed Baker‘s festive Ice Cream Truffles. Lastly, on the restaurant scene, D&T: in the burgh lunched at Gaucho Parrilla Argentina in the Strip District; Yum Yum tried the Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, Ore.; and Pittsburgh Magazine encouraged us to discover the delicious concoctions of Pittsburgh Pie Guy.
